System Parameters
xLab System Parameters provides the ability to set a group of Facility Wide parameters and is organized in 4 main Tabs;
- System Parameters
- Display Flags and Parameters
- Workstations
- Report Options
System Parameters
The System Parameters Tab allows the user to set the following Facility Wide Parameters, each is described below.
Date Format - How Dates are displayed within xLab.
Time Format - How Time is displayed in xLab
Default Label Script - The Facility will use this Label Script when printing Labels from Order Entry and Drawlists. Worklists have their own unique Label Script to use.
Print Rquisition Label checkbox - If checked a special Requisition label will be printed from Order Entry and Drawlists. If un-checked no Requisition Label will be printed.
Default Print Order - What Report Print Order file is used. (see Report Order under Reports)
Use reference Ranges for Criticals - If checked, on Reports and the Worklist when there is a critical value, regular Reference Ranges are ouput. If un-checked, on Reports and the Workslist when there is a critical value, the Critical Ranges are output.
Worklist Batch Verify - Allows the user to Verify cups on a worklist as a batch. When enabled you can limit what cup status can be Batch Verified.
Enable Medication at Order Entry - Enables the entry of Prescribed Medications on the Order Entry Screen.
If avalilable, carry forward.. - If Checked, Medications from a patients previous visit will be automatically poplulated for a new Order.
Require a least one Medication in Order Entry - If checked, user must enter at least one medication, if un-checked no entry of medication is required.
Location Look-up - User can select which location parameter is used with searching a Location Dropdown.
Physician Look-up - User can select which Physician parameter is used with searching a Physician Dropdown.
Fax Queue: User can set the Maximum Que Size that will be retained in the active Fax log.
Transaction Log: User can set the Maximum Que Size that will be retained in the active Transaction Log.
Display Flags and Parameters
This Tab allows the user to set how the Display and Printed range flags will appear, the Colors of required fields and selected fields on the Order Entry screen and what range is displayed and printed.
Range Flags - each type of flag can have the text displayed set by the user (up to 2 characters). These are what are displayed and printed within xLab.
Order Entry field colors - You can set both the Backgrounf and Forrground colors for the Order Entry Screen fields.
Use Regerence Ranges for Criticals - If Checked, the range displayed/printed for Criticals will be the reference ranges, if not checked when a value is Critical the Critical Range is displayed/printed
Workstations
Within xLab you may have multiple User Workstations. For example you may have one Workstation in the Main Lab and one at a Draw Station. Each Workstation may have it's own dedicated Report Printer and Label Printer. Note: You must have created the xLab Report Printer and Label Printer under Device Setup -> Report Sites Setup
Report Options
Report Options consists of 4 Tabs. Each is discussed below.
Report Type
This Tab will contain different information depending upon whether or not you have the Pain Management Module. They both work the same but with the Pain Management Module there is an additional Report, Summary Report. The screens below show both following which is an explation of how the screen works in general.
xLab Supports several different report formats; Sample Report, Drug Screen Report, Patient Cumulative Report, Summary Report (Pain Management Only) and Pain Managment Cumulative Report. With some of these reports you also have a choice of Format (how the report looks) and the order they are output.
